The Modern Tapas and creativity course is brought to The Fine Dining Academy in collaboration with Villeroy & Boch
Tasting, grazing and tapas menus are all the rage. A growing number of UK Michelin-starred eateries are enticing their customers with multi-course offerings and it’s not unheard of on the continent for the chef to present in excess of 30 dishes during a meal! So how do you go about constructing such a menu let alone use the very latest cooking equipment and techniques at home.
Having worked with some of the UK’s top restaurants, our award-winning Michelin-starred chefs are perfectly placed to guide you in the use of the latest equipment and techniques to create mini courses of exquisite eye appeal with flavour to match. Larger numbers of smaller courses not only allow for increased creativity but also allow the chef to create more of a balance than the normal 3 course format.
Throughout your day there will be an ongoing discussion on ‘The creative process’. Art form & food form - both often the most misunderstood and elusive of subjects.
Presentation plays a key part in modern tapas so you will be presenting your stunning creations on the very latest, and we might add, finest avant garde crockery courtesy of Villeroy and Boch as well as some rather more ‘off the wall’ type items that can make up the modern chefs repertoire.
This course is a must for all dinner party hosts, serious foodies and is equally open to the professional chef who wants more of an insight into the creative process.
